| Sion Wheelus lived in Lot 191 in the 5th District of Morgan County, Georgia, on the main road from Madison to Athens. He bought half of that lot in 1818 and sold it in 1831,67 and moved to Meriwether County, Georgia.

He married 14 October 1827, DeKalb County, Georgia, to Talitha Cumi Pierce Johns, daughter of Bartlett Johns and Phebe Angel.69 Talitha was born 16 November 1803, Amherst County, Virginia, died 13 October 1876,70 St. Clair County, Alabama. Wiley and Talitha are buried in Sardis Methodist Church Cemetery in Section 21, Range 23E, Township 20N in Tallapoosa County, Alabama, near Thornton.71
