    122. Susannah4Hardeman (Eleazar3, Thomas2, John1), was born 25 July 1810, Williamson County, Tennessee, died 1873, Dickson County, Tennessee. She married first, 2 October 1832, Williamson County, Tennessee, to James M. Dotson,1148 born 5 December 1809, Williamson County, Tennessee, died 15 February 1847, Dickson County, Tennessee. She married second, 12 December 1850, Dickson County, to John Grymes (Grimes), born circa 1807, died after 1870, Dickson County.
    James M. Dodson made his will 14 February 1847. The will was proved 5 April 1847 in Dickson County, Tennessee. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Susan provided she remains a widow and should not marry again all my slaves Jack Manuel Adaline and Fillis with their increase. Also all of my stock of every description which may be necessary for her to keep. Also my wagon and gear and farming utensils my household and kitchen furniture of all kinds and all debts which may be due me at my death, but if she should marry again then in that case my will is that she shall have an equal share with my children that may then be living of all my property both real and personal. My will is further that if my wife chooses to remain on the place on which I now reside that with my children have the use and benefit of it jointly, but if she should become dissatisfied to live on it, it is my will that she sell the land with the advice of my executors and apply the proceeds of said sale to the purchase of other lands or negroes for the use and benefit of my said wife and children jointly. It is further my will that my wife keep my children all with her and give them as good an education as she may be able. I nominate and appoint my brothers in law Lemuel Farmer and Nicholas P. Hardeman my executors without being required to give security.1149
