She married 25 October 1853, to Charles Abram Defrance, born 21 September 1826, Natchez, Adams County, Mississippi, died 1893, St. Louis County, Missouri.
    Charles A. Defrance was an attorney in 1860. He was probate judge of Carroll Parish, Louisiana, in 1870. In 1880, he was an author/ journalist in St. Louis.
    They lived in Floyd, Carroll Parish, Louisiana, in 1860;1519 Lake Providence, Carroll Parish, Louisiana, in 1870;1520 and St. Louis, Missouri, in 1880.1521 They were counted twice in the 1880 census in St. Louis.1522 Sallie Hardeman Defrance’s nephew, Thomas Hardeman, son of William D. Hardeman, lived with them in 1880 in St. Louis.
