She married 20 November 1860, Ellis County, Texas,1669 to Napoleon Bonaparte Rankin,1670 born November 1828, Texas, died before 1910. They lived in Ellis County, Texas, in 1870,1671 1880,1672 and 1900.1673 Lucretia lived in Ellis County, Texas, in 1910.1674
    N. B. Rankin was the son of Frederick Harrison Rankin, born Kentucky, and Elizabeth Smith. The Rankins moved to Ellis County, in 1851. They lived in Rankin, Ellis County, southeast of Avalon and southwest of Bardwell, at the intersection of Farm Roads 877 and 984.
    Obituary: Mrs. Lucretia Rankin, aged 73 years and one of the first settlers of Ellis County, died at her home at Rankin, Sunday morning at 11 o’clock and was buried by the Eastern Star at Bardwell at 2:30 Sunday afternoon. The funeral was very largely attended by people from all parts of Ellis County. Surviving are three sons, Alex and Earl Rankin of Rankin, and Harry Rankin of Dallas.1675
