Dorothy2Hardeman (John1), was born circa 1758, Halifax County, Virginia,181 died after 3 June 1839, Oglethorpe County, Georgia.182 She married circa 1776, Guilford County, North Carolina, to Glen Owen, born circa 1755, died after 3 June 1839, and before 6 July 1839, Oglethorpe County, Georgia.183
    Glen Owen was the son of Thomas Owen, born circa 1730, will made 17 June 1805, proved 25 October 1805, Greene County, Georgia. Thomas Owen of Greene County, being in a very advanced stage of life. Named daughter, Ann Rutledge; son, Glen Owen; daughter Jane Musgrove. It is my will from a principal of justice that Mary McCain have one third of the balance of my estate, real and personal, and at her decease to go to her son William McCain. The other two thirds to my son George Owen.184
    Thomas Owen lived in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, 22 November 1770, when he bought 103 acres on the north side of Dan River from James Dunkin, adjoining Henry Stone and William McDaniel.185 Thomas Owen bought land in Pittsylvania County, 29 August 1771.186 31 March 1772 in Pittsylvania County, Jane, wife of Thomas Owen, relinquished dower rights when he sold land.187 Thomas Owen lived in Guilford County, North Carolina, 25 December 1773.188
