    7. John2Hardeman (John1), was born circa 1762, Halifax County, Virginia.270 His will was made 1 February 1804, proved 21 September 1804, Oglethorpe County, Georgia.271 He married 26 March 1792, Wilkes County, Georgia, to Nancy “Ann” Collier,272 born 6 January 1771, Virginia, died 2 December 1852. She was the daughter of Vines and Sarah E. Collier. Nancy “Ann” Collier Hardeman married second (as his second wife), 27 July 1807, Oglethorpe County, Georgia, to George Menefee,273 whose will was made 1 October 1840 and proved 6 January 1841, Talbot County, Georgia.274 George Menefee married first to Elizabeth Tatum.
    Nancy “Ann” Collier’s father, Vines Collier, made his will 11 September 1795, recorded 11 December 1795, Oglethorpe County, Georgia. Vines Collier of Oglethorpe County. To daughter Betsey Dunn a negro girl named Dilacy. To daughter Ann Hardaman a negro girl named Janey. To son Isaac Collier 100 acres on fork of Broad River, adjoining James Greer, Greer’s Branch, and Gresham’s line. To beloved wife Salley Collier my land, negroes, and property, but if she marries she is to receive a child’s part with my other ten children: Thomas, John, Cuthbert, William, Vines, Robert, Polly, Sally, Betsey, Ann. Executors: son, Isaac Collier and Salley Collier my wife, executrix. I refuse to act as executor for estate of Vines Collier, deceased, Monday, 7th of December. Certified 11 December 1795. /s/ Matthew Rainey, R.C.O.C. Witness: Samuel Northington. The heirs signed an agreement to settle according to the terms of the will: Salley Collier, John Collier, John Hardaman, Thomas Dunn, Isaac Collier, Cuthbert Collier, Thomas Collier. Witness: Charles Dunn. Statement that Vines Collier died 7 December 1795.275
