He had no slaves or sons of age.14 In 1748, John Hardeman was included in the Goochland County, Virginia, tithable list as overseer for Richard Williamson's List.

Witnesses: Benja. Harrison, John (x) Cook, Theo. Carter. Dorothy, wife of John Hardiman, relinquished her dower rights.15
