    9. Susannah2Hardeman (John1), born circa 1766, Halifax County, Virginia,323 died after 28 December 1809, Oglethorpe County, Georgia.324 She married circa 1784, Guilford County, North Carolina, to William Strong, born 27 October 1762, died 7 December 1852, Troup County, Georgia.
    William Strong was the son of John Strong and Sarah Sneed. William’s brother, Sneed Strong, married Susannah Hardeman’s sister, Judith Hardeman. [see #8, Judith Hardeman].
    William and Susannah Strong moved from Rockingham County, North Carolina, to Wilkes County, Georgia, about 1787.
    William Strong witnessed deeds in Wilkes County, Georgia, in 1789 and 1790. He witnessed a deed, 2 November 1789, from George Lumpkin to John Hardeman. He witnessed a deed, 15 January 1790, from George Lumpkin to Robert Lumpkin, adjoining John Hardeman.325
    William Strong paid taxes in Wilkes County, Georgia, in 1790, in Captain Diamond’s District, on 100 acres and no slaves. He paid taxes in 1791 in Captain William Duke’s Company, on 100 acres and two slaves. He paid taxes in 1792 in Captain William Duke’s Company, on one slave and 100 acres on Buffalo Creek, adjoining John Hardman. He paid taxes in 1793 in Captain William Duke’s Company, on one slave and 100 acres on Buffalo Creek, adjoining John Hardaman. William Strong’s land was put into Oglethorpe County, in 1793.326
    On 4 December 1791, William Strong and Susanna Strong of Wilkes County, Georgia, being legatees of part of the estate of John Hardiman, formerly of Guilford County, North Carolina, deceased, sold to John Hardiman of Wilkes County, Georgia, all our right, title, claim, and demand as legatees against said estate and have received full satisfaction
