Wilkes of Jasper County, Georgia, sold to John Hardeman of Oglethorpe County, for $600, 68 ½ acres in Oglethorpe County, on Troublesome Creek, a fork of Long Creek. It is the land allotted to John Wilkes by Writ of Partition to divide the real estate of Benjn. Wilks, deceased, of which Jno. Wilkes is an heir. Witnesses: Isaac Hardeman, Elijah Deupree, James S. Palmer.349
