    John Hardaman paid land taxes in Halifax County, Virginia, in 1755, on 100 acres. He was on a list taken by Thomas Dillard.22
    John Hardman had two land entries in Halifax County (Pittsylvania County), Virginia, in 1756 and 1762.23
    Henry Beard had sold land to John Hardeman, in 1750, in Albemarle County, Virginia. On 13 December 1759 in Albemarle County, Henry Beard of Tillotson Parish, Albemarle County, planter, for love and affection, to my son Edward Beard, for his duty and obedience to me, give 400 acres in Albemarle County, adjoining Colonel John Bolling and Alexander Stinson. /s/ Henry (B) Beard. Witnesses: Hardiman Beard and John Beard.24 Henry Baird (Beard) and Hardeman Baird lived in Buckingham County, Virginia, in 1762 and later.
    At the Vestry held for Antrim Parish, Halifax County, Virginia, 15 November 1758: Bean, Perkins, and Hardiman to Procession. Pursuant to an order of the Court of the County of Halifax bearing date the seventeenth day of August last past for this Vestry to appoint percessioners according to law whereupon it is ordered that William Bean, Nicholas Perkins, Gent., and John Hardiman do procession the bounds of every persons land from the Mouth of the upper Double Creek on both sides to Cas Cade Creek and along to the Ridges and that they begin their work on the last day of January and Return to the Vestry on or before the last day of March Ensuing an account of everypersons land they shall percession and the persons present at the same and the land they failed to percession and the particular reason of such failure.25
    At the Vestry held for Antrim Parish, Halifax County, Virginia, 16 February 1763, Wilson, Marr, Stone, and Rice Procession. Pursuant to an order of the County Court of Halifax bearing date the 18th day of Augt. last past for this Vestry to appoint Processioners according to law whereupon it is ordered that Capt. John Wilson, Gideon Marr, John Stone, William Rice, and John Hardiman do procession all the patent land in the following bounds beginning at the mouth of Sandy River thence up the
