John3Hardeman (Thomas2, John1), was born 13 February 1776,412 Pittsylvania County, Virginia,413 died 7 September 1829,414 New Orleans, Louisiana.415 He married first, June 1805, probably near Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Lucretia Nash, born circa 1787, died 1812, Williamson County, Tennessee. He married second, 25 March 1823, Howard County, Missouri, to Nancy Knox of Cooper County, Missouri. Nancy Knox Hardeman married second, 5 March 1835, in Howard County, Missouri, to James Dunnica.416 She was Dunnica’s third wife.
    Nancy Knox Hardeman Dunnica was born in 1796, died 28 August 1866, St. Louis, Missouri, buried Bellefontaine Cemetery.
    James Dunnica died 20 August 1867, St. Louis, Missouri, buried Bellefontaine Cemetery. James and Nancy Knox Hardeman Dunnica had three children: Parker Dunnica, born circa 1836, died 8 May 1867, buried Bellefontaine Cemetery, St. Louis; Joseph Dunnica, born circa 1838, died 19 August 1873, buried Bellefontaine Cemetery, St. Louis; and Sallie Dunnica, born circa 1840.
    Thomas Hardeman sold to John Hardeman land in Davidson County, Tennessee, in 1797.417 John Hardeman paid taxes in Williamson County, Tennessee, from 1803 to 1813. In 1803 he paid taxes on 423 acres. Also in 1803, N. P. and John Hardeman paid taxes on one town lot in Franklin.
    On 15 December 1802 in Williamson County, Tennessee, Deed of Gift: Thomas Hardiman of Davidson County, Tennessee, to John Hardeman, for love and affection, to his son John, a tract on both sides of Big Harpeth, beginning at northwest corner of a survey conveyed to

He was a native of Tennessee and emigrated to Missouri about 12 years ago. He was the son of Capt. Thomas Hardeman, one of the earliest settlers of Tennessee who also emigrated to Missouri and now lives in the vicinity of Jefferson City. He was twice married and has left a widow and children. About a year ago he went on a commercial visit to Mexico.
