Richland County, South Carolina, was formed in 1785 from Camden District

 

and his Descendants

 

(Ledenham – Leadenham - Leadingham)

 

[Craven County was dissolved in 1769, and

Camden District was formed in 1769]

Note: There was another Leadingham who lived in South Carolina before 1800. Stafford Leadenham lived in Cheraw District, South Carolina, in 1790.[1] Stafford Leadenham has no known connection to William Ledingham. No other records for Stafford Leadenham have been found in South Carolina.
