    On 31 August 1807, a passport was issued by the governor of Georgia for Isham S. Fanning, Jeptha Fanning, John Anderson, Douglas W. Porter, John Mapp, and Littleton Mapp to go through the Cherokee Nation. 3 November 1812, Captains Isham S. Fanning, Littleton Mapp, James Mathews, and Littleberry Gresham, Esqrs., all respectable citizens of Morgan County received permission from the governor to go into the Cherokee Nation on business.61
    Children of Littleton Mapp, Jr. and Anna Fannin:
18. i. John F. Mapp, born circa 1795, died between 1850 and 1860, Hinds County, Mississippi, intestate, married 1 October 1818, Clarke County, Georgia, to Elizabeth Steele,62 born circa 1800, daughter of James C. Steele.63 John F.’s father sold him land in Morgan County, Georgia, 22 August 1812, when he was only seventeen.64 John F. Mapp was sheriff of Morgan County, from September to December 1817. From 1817 to 1819, John F. Mapp sold all of his father’s remaining property in Morgan County, Georgia,65 and moved to Perry County, Mississippi, in 1820. John F. Mapp lived in Hinds County, Mississippi, from 1830 to 1850.66 They had five children.67
19. ii. William F. Mapp, born circa 1797, lived in Walton County, Georgia, in 1830.68
