    195. Sarah Ann Elizabeth5Meadows (Simeon Whatley4, Daniel3, Isham2, Daniel1), called Eliza, was born 24 March 1834, Troup County, Georgia, died 13 August 1880, aged 46, Claiborne Parish, Louisiana,581 buried in Summerfield Cemetery, Summerfield, Claiborne Parish.582 She married 29 August 1853, Heard County, Georgia, John Lyon Martin,583 born 20 June 1820, Stokes County, North Carolina, died 10 November 1865, aged 45, Heard County, buried on what was known as the old Wood place in Heard County, owned at the time by Simeon Whatley Meadows, Eliza’s father, a few miles from Cooksville. John and Eliza lived in Heard County, Georgia, in 1860.584
    John Lyon Martin was the son of Joseph Martin, born 4 February 1791, Stokes County, North Carolina, and Christine Harmon Lyon, born 8 February 1798, died June 1847.585 Joseph Martin was the son of John “Jack” Martin, born before 1754, Louisa County, Virginia, died 5 April 1823, Stokes County, married June 1784, Surry County, North Carolina, Nancy Shipp, born circa 1763, died 24 January 1841, Stokes Co.586
    Eliza Meadows Martin and her five children moved from Heard County, Georgia, to Claiborne Parish, Louisiana, in 1866. She bought a farm with the $1,250 she received from her father’s estate in Heard County, and taught school in Claiborne Parish. She didn’t remarry. Eliza lived in Claiborne Parish, in 1870587 and 1880.588
