| Benjamin Meadows lived in Jones County, when the 1820 census was taken. In 1823, Benjamin Meddows and Garrett Hudman of Monroe County, Georgia, sold to John Lewis Ponder of Jasper County, Georgia, Lot No. 16 in the 5th District of Monroe County.52 Benjamin was on the grand jury in Muscogee County, in 1827, and on the grand jury in Harris County, Georgia, in 1828.53 He lived in Harris County, Georgia, in 1830 and 1840.
