    The family lived in Orange County, Florida, when the special federal census of 1885 was taken.650 In 1886, Penryn became Plymouth. The Tavares, Orlando, & Atlantic railroad began running through Plymouth with regular mail delivery. Susan Chapman was appointed postmaster by Grover Cleveland in February 1887. The post office was established in the closed–in porch of the Chapman family home, the closest structure. Receiving six more presidential appointments, she served as postmaster until March 1914. They lived in Zellwood, Orange County, Florida, in 1900.651
    John T. Chapman served as a member of the County Board of Supervisers and for two years in the Florida Legislature. In addition to his own groves, he had supervision of eighteen others in the Plymouth area.652 John was a school teacher, principal, member of the County Board of Education, station master for the railroad, and president of the Citrus Growers Association. Susan Chapman lived in Orange County, Florida, in 1920.653
