39. xiii. James Meadows, born circa 1818, Georgia, married 17 July 1841, Lowndes County, Alabama, to Ellen A. Poole, born circa 1818, South Carolina. They lived in Lowndes County, Alabama, in 1850, 1860, and 1870.80
40. xiv. Martha Meadows
    18. James3Meadows (Isham2, Daniel1), was born circa 1770, Bute County, North Carolina. His estate was administered in September 1813, in Putnam County, Georgia. James was about 43 years old when he died. He married circa 1799, Wilkes County, Georgia, to Rutha Stephens (Stevens), born circa 1785, Virginia, will made 12 February 1857, Tallapoosa County, Alabama, proved 7 March 1859, Upson County, Georgia. Rutha was the daughter of Edward Stephens (Stevens) who died testate in Wilkes County, Georgia, in 1823.81 Rutha’s step–mother died testate in Taliaferro County, Georgia, in 1829.82
