| 20. Daniel3Meadows (Isham2, Daniel1), was born 1 March 1779, Bute/Warren County, North Carolina, died 28 December 1875,112 aged 96 years, 10 months, 28 days, Grantville, Coweta County, Georgia. He married 1 January 1801, Wilkes County, Georgia, to Ann Thompson,113 born 16 October 1782, North Carolina, died 4 July 1873,114 aged 90, Grantville. They are buried in the Samuel Meadows Cemetery, near Grantville.115 Ann was the daughter of Henry Thompson, who made his will 22 February 1823, proved 3 March 1823, Jones County, Georgia, naming daughter, Ann Meadows.116

| | The obituary of Daniel Meadows was published in the Hawkinsville Dispatch, 7 September 1876: Daniel Meadows, another veteran of the War of 1812, has fallen. He was 96 years, 10 months, and 28 days old. He lived in North Carolina 19 years, Taliaferro County, Georgia 39 years, and in Coweta County, Georgia 39 years. He died in the latter county. He never had a doctor visit him in his life, never owned a time piece, nor bought a box of matches; never was sued nor left a debt unpaid, but always tried to help the preacher and the poor.117
