| On 26 October 1828 in Taliaferro County, Absalom Janes, Thomas G. Janes, and Archibald G. Janes, executors of the will of William Janes, decd., sold to Archibald Gresham, Daniel Meadows, and Amos Haddaway, deacons of the Baptist Church in Crawfordville, for $1.00, land where the church now stands on the north of town of Crawfordville, 2 ¼ acres.127 Bethel Church was established before the town of Crawfordville. It became the Baptist Church of Crawfordville.

| | Daniel Meadows lived in Taliaferro County, Georgia, in 1830.128 He participated in the 1832 Georgia Cherokee Land Lottery while living in the 606th Georgia Military District in Taliaferro County. He had been a soldier in the late war and had one draw. Two of Daniel’s sons, James Marion Meadows and John Coggin Meadows, also participated in the 1832 Cherokee Land Lottery. James and John were both single men over 18 years of age and were both living in Taliaferro County. Daniel, James, and John Meadows also participated in the Georgia Gold Lottery.

| | In 1836, in Coweta County, Georgia, John Edwards sold 100 acres in the 2nd District, to Daniel Meadows of Taliaferro County, Georgia.129

| | Daniel Meadows moved from Taliaferro County, to Coweta County, in 1836. On 14 December 1836 in Coweta County, William B. Smith of Coweta County, sold to Daniel Meadows of Coweta, 252 ½ acres in Lots 214 and 215 in the 2nd District of Coweta County.130
