    Daniel Meadows lived in Coweta County, in 1840.131 On 27 April 1840 in Coweta County, Daniel Meadows of Coweta, sold to Charles Morris of Taliaferro County, for $1400, 352 acres in Taliaferro County, adjoining Martin Woodall, Senr., Ogletree, Thompson, and others (not named), adjoining Ogletree and Thompson, road to Stephens Creek in a westward direction to Charles Morris’s spring, J. Evans’ line, to leave them 100 acres between land and Thompson’s spring branch, Thompson’s land that had been William Meadows.132
    Daniel paid taxes in Coweta County, in 1845, in Capt. Kilgore’s 3rd District on 300 acres in Lot 143, and seven slaves. His son, Samuel Meadows, paid taxes in the same district with no land. Daniel’s sons, John C. Meadows and James M. Meadows, paid taxes in Capt. Benton’s 2nd District in 1845 in Coweta County. John C. Meadows paid taxes on 202 ½ acres in Lot 247, and James M. Meadows paid taxes on 130 acres in Lot 215.133
    On 17 November 1846, Edward Meadows and Daniel Meadows proved a deed made in Greene County, Georgia, 29 August 1808: I give my son Samuel Thompson 100 acres in Greene County, on Stephens Creek, adjoining Henning Daniel and Evans, north part of 200 acres granted to me, 11 November 1780. (signed) Henry Thompson, 29 August 1808. Witnesses were Edward Meadows and Daniel Meadows. This deed was recorded, 17 November 1846, in Taliaferro County.134
    Daniel Meadows lived in Coweta County, in 1850.135 Daniel sold land to the railroad in 1850.136 In 1853, Daniel Meadows sold land in Coweta County, to Samuel Meadows.137
