| 21. Edward3Meadows (Isham2, Daniel1), was born circa 1783, Warren County, North Carolina, died 2 December 1869, aged 86, Taliaferro County, Georgia. He is buried near Highway 22 in Taliaferro County, near the Oglethorpe County line on the A. K. Mathis place. He married circa 1815, Greene County, Georgia, to Rebecca Thompson, born circa 1795, Wilkes County, Georgia, died after 1860, Taliaferro County, Georgia. Rebecca was the daughter of Henry Thompson, whose 1823 will in Jones County, Georgia, named Rebecca Meadows.147 Rebecca was a sister of Anna Thompson Meadows, wife of Daniel Meadows.

| | Edward Meadows moved from Warren County, North Carolina, to Stephens Creek in Wilkes County, Georgia, with his father, Isham Meadows, in 1798. The Stephens Creek neighborhood was cut off into Greene County, in 1802. Edward Meadows paid taxes in Greene County, in 1809 in Moore’s District on 76 acres on Stephens Creek, granted to Thompson. Edward paid taxes in Greene County, in 1815, in Willis’s District. Edward paid taxes in Greene County, in 1824, in Capt. Horatio Nunnelly’s 139th District on 146 acres on Stephens Creek. He paid taxes in 1825 in Greene County, in Capt. Colclough’s District, on 163 3/8 acres on Stephens Creek.

| | On 29 August 1808 in Greene County, Edward Meadows and Daniel Meadows witnessed a deed of gift from Henry Thompson to his son, Samuel Thompson, for 100 acres on Stephens Creek in Greene County, adjoining Henning Daniel and Evans. This deed wasn’t recorded until 17 November 1846.148
