| John Williams and James Medowes were sworn chain carriers and Sherd Haywood was surveyor for a North Carolina land grant to John Shearman, 13 May 1757, for 219 acres in St. John’s Parish, Granville County, on both sides of Stoney Creek, adjoining Shearman’s corner and John Langston.23
