| John and Martha Cook’s eldest children were Julia A., Sarah A., and John W. Cook. These three children stayed in Georgia when John and Martha moved to Texas in 1856 with their younger children.365 John W. Cook, born circa 1833, lived in Randolph County, Alabama, in 1880. John Cook lived in Coweta County, Georgia, in 1850, next door to Daniel Meadows.366

| Thomas Samuel Meadows, born 15 January 1841, died 15 May 1863, C.S.A. in Mississippi. He died in a hospital after being wounded. He was a private in Co. C, 34th Ga. Regiment, Volunteer Infantry, Army of Tennessee. He was never married.

| Mary Heard Meadows, born 16 March 1844, died 7 March 1925, Coweta County, buried John C. Meadows Cemetery,367 never married. In 1900, in Coweta County, Mary boarded with the Hubbard family.368
