    On 15 August 1770 in Bute County, John Meadows was a juror. On 14 February 1772, John Meadows was to work on the road from Burnt Ordinary to Col. Thomas Eaton’s ferry, crossing Reedy Swamp, up ridge between Stone house and Hubb Quarter to road leading to Halifax town. John Meadows witnessed a deed from James Belches and Hugh Belches to Benjamin Weathers, in November 1772.30
    4. Daniel2Meadows (Daniel1), Daniel Meadows and Isham Meadows were sworn chain carriers in 1761 in Granville County, North Carolina, for a North Carolina plat to a grant to Thomas Ownsbey.
    Daniel Medors and Isham Medors lived in the same household when they paid taxes in 1762 in Babtist District in Granville County.
    Henry Chambless, son of John of Bute County, sold to Christopher Golightly, of same, stock including a cow of Daniel Meadows, 24 October 1764.
    In August of 1768, in Bute County, North Carolina, John Jones was appointed overseer of the road in room of Daniel Meadows.31
    Daniel Meadows returned an account for the estate of Samuel Mangham, decd., in Granville County, May Court 1779.32
    5. William2Meadows (Daniel1), William Meadows had a plat for a North Carolina land grant, 5 May 1760, for 466 acres in Granville County, on the north side of Crooked Run, adjoining Lashley’s line, Mathias’s line, and Slaughter’s line. Richard Fowler and Thomas Fowler were sworn chain carriers and Thomas Person was surveyor.33
    Thomas Person had a plat, 21 July 1760, for 595 acres in Granville County, on both sides of Crooked Creek, Tar River, and Melton Creek, adjoining Washington’s line, Lashley’s line, Meadows’s line, and Mathias’s line. William Meadows and Charles Cooly were sworn chain carriers and Jos. Jno. Williams was surveyor.34
