    Nathaniel G. Alexander, father of Clarisse H. Alexander Meadows, was born circa 1794, Greene County, Georgia, and died after 1841 and before 2 March 1846, Meriwether County, Georgia.386 Her mother, Mary Mapp Alexander,387 was born circa 1800, Greene County, Georgia, died between 1830 and 1840, Coweta County, Georgia.
    James M. Meadows was the executor of the estate of William Alexander of Heard County, Georgia. He was Clarisse’s grandfather. The estate was settled in Coweta County, from 7 June 1858 to 25 May 1859. The Estate Division of William Alexander named granddaughter, Clarissa Meadows.388 William Alexander made his will in Heard County, and it was proved 5 April 1858 in Coweta County. The will named granddaughter Clerrisa Meadows.389
    James M. Meadows lived in Coweta County, Georgia, in 1860.390 James Meadows owned eight black slaves in 1860. A female, age 45; a male, age 25; a male, age 18; a female, age 18; a male, age 18; a female, age 16; a female, age 8; a female, age 7, and a female, age 4.391
