page 132     Morgan Co., Ga.: Articles of Agreement & Copartnership. 6 June 1821, William Barrow & Archibald Y. Stokes, both of said co. & village of Madison. It is agreed between the parties contracting that these articles shall take effect 13 Aug. 1821, the day the parties commenced business under the firm of Barrow & Stokes, equally binding. It is agreed between parties that business shall be carried on under firm of Barrow & Stokes. The capitol of the firm from each to be $7750. 2/3 from William & 1/3 from Archibald Y. They agree equal shares of the profits & losses agreeable to the stated amount put in. All expenses & other charges which the firm may now be chargeable shall be paid out of common stock. It shall continue for 3 years unless parties shall mutually agree to remain in business. William & Archibald Y. agree that the duties of each shall be equal.
