Wellborn & Co. against William Beal. Martin P. Sparks, sheriff of afsd. co., seized lots as property of William Beal. 7 May 1822, exposed to public sale in Morgan Co. & Adam G. Saffold of afsd. co. was the highest bidder, for $60, for lots in the town of Madison, 3 acres, beg. at N.W. side or end of A. H. Greene’s lot & running a little the N. of W. between the two main roads leading to Hard Labour Creek to their junction. The other is Lot 63 & 1/2 of Lot 62, adj. each other on W. side of main road leading from town to creek, 7 acres, adj. the Spring lot, Academy lot, Graveyard lot, & others on W. & S.W. sides, in fee simple. /s/ Martin P.
