| pages 52-53 Deed of Gift: 4 Dec. 1820, Lewis Gaar of Morgan Co., to Peggy Head, the daughter & lawful child of said Lewis, Lucy Gaar, Lewis Gaar Head, Sally Burton MacCalpin, Caty Weaver Head, James Head, Marshall Head, Baldwin Buckner Head, Willy Morgan Head, & Patsey Virginia Head, all of afsd. co., & Benjamin Head of county & state of Mississippi, being the grandchildren of Lewis Gaar & the children & heirs of Peggy lawfully begotten of her body by Benjamin Head, late the husband of Peggy, for love & natural affection to his daughter Peggy & his grandchildren, gives lot which Peggy now lives, 202 1/2 acres, Lot 182, 5th Dist. of Baldwin now Morgan Co. Also, a negro man named Moses, aged 30 years, a negro woman, Sally, aged 40 years, & another woman, Kizziah, aged 16 or 17 years, with future increase of the females. Also, all stock of cattle, sheep, & hogs, & the whole of the household & kitchen furniture now in possession of Peggy Head to her & Lucy Gaar & others, the grandchildren. Condition: Peggy shall have the entire & exclusive control of all property with profits from it except the increase of negroes during her natural life or until she shall have directed & then the whole conveyed property shall go to the grandchildren in equal proportions. /s/ Lewis Gaar.
