| | second page 74 Morgan Co., Ga.: Francis Douglas says that in the winter & spring 1819 that this deponent says that he heard Walter Taylor at several different times say that he would not stand his stud horse at less than $15 the season as Gallitin & Potomac stood at $30 & his was as well blooded horse as either of them & got as good colts. I also declare that I separately about the same time heard Walter Taylor say that he did not intend to stand his dark bay horse Bucifillus in this state but intended to send him to South Carolina to stand in that state & on my applying to let me put a mare to him in the usual way of stud horses he refused but told me that he would give me the season of a mare to him but that he did not stand him that season, 14 Dec. 1820. /s/ F. Douglas. Wit: Hyram Russeau, J.P. Recorded 22 Jan. 1821.
