| page 189 Deed of Gift: Morgan Co., Ga.: Caleb Cook of afsd. co., for natural love & affection to the memory of my late wife Sarah Cook, decd., formerly Sarah Perkins, & for her three surviving children which I had by her (to wit) Sarah Ann Cook, John Franklin Cook, & Mary Perkins Cook, & expecting to have another family. Give to Sarah Ann Cook, John Franklin Cook, & Mary Perkins Cook, my right, title, & claim to 6 negroes & their increase (to wit) Martin a boy about 15, Mariah a girl about 10 or 12, Emelina a girl about 8, Martha a girl about 2, Nancy a girl about 12 months. I am to retain negroes in my possession until Sarah Ann Cook, my eldest daughter, arrives at age or marries. Then she is to have her part of the negroes & increase & so in like manner of my other two children John Franklin Cook & Mary Perkins Cook.
