pages 273-275     Morgan Co., Ga.: 10 Jan. 1824, John W. Burney & William B. Gregory, exors. of the estate of John Burney, decd., to John G. Colbert, for $1800, Lot 284 in 15th Dist. of originally Baldwin now Morgan Co. Also, fraction Lot 283, 15th Dist., 166 acres, but part of which was sold by John Burney in his lifetime, the balance of fraction is now 120 acres. Total with square is 322 1/2 acres. Reservation that the widow of John Burney is legally entitled to her right of dower or thirds in afsd. parcels. As soon as her interest in estate reverts to the heirs of John Burney, decd., then John W. Burney & William B. Gregory, exors., forever defend the dower of estate as we now do the balance of lands, in fee simple. /s/ John W. Burney, Wm. B. Gregory, exors. of John Burney, decd.
