Remembrance Chamberlain applied to court for Writ of Partition to assign him in right of his wife (late Matilda Peoples) 1/3 part of lands of late Dudley Peoples, decd. in Morgan Co. Legal notice has been given. You are to divide lands of Dudley Peoples, decd. & assign 1/3 part, the share Remembrance Chamberlain is entitled to in right of his wife as her dower in estate & return to next court, 19 Sept. 1825. /s/ John W. Porter, clk. Land adj. N. by lands belonging to Francis Foster & John C. Wood, E. by lands of Richard Park, S. by lands belonging to the estate of Dudley Peoples, decd., W. by lands belonging to the estate of Zadock Alford, decd., is 364 acres, 7 chains, 25 links which is 1/3 part of all lands in Morgan Co. belonging to estate, 22 Oct. 1825. /s/ Jno. S. 45 E. 39.63 ch., S. 45 E. 22.59 ch., N. 45 W. 40 ch. on McCoy’s line, meanders of Jacks Creek near high water mark to first shoal, 2 more lines not marked. Real estate of Dudley Peeples, decd. Agreeable to return of chain carriers, 22 Oct. 1825. /s/ B. Woolbright, Surveyor. Another plat: part of Lots 1 & 2, N. 45 E. 91.50 ch., S. 45 W. 92.50 ch. Total is 846 acres, 3 chains, 75 links. Lot 1 is 481 acres, 8 chains, 15 links. Lot 2 is 364 acres, 7 chains, 25 links. Above plat is real estate of Dudley Peoples on Sugar Creek.
