pages 328-329     Trust Instrument, Deed of Gift, & Freedom for slave Peggy: Morgan Co., Ga.: Nancy Irving, for love & affection, to my sister Elizabeth O Neal, wife of Bryan O Neal, & to my friend Rodrick Leonard of Morgan Co., & for $5. To Rodrick Leonard, my negroes, Isreal, Nace, Sophia, Peggy, & children Mary & Margaret, & all moneys, bonds, notes, or other debts I may be possessed of at my death, with increase of negroes. To Rodrick Leonard in trust for the support & maintenance of my sister & her children. The trust isn’t to take effect until after my death, reserving to myself the profits & use of the property during my natural life & then to be applied to the support of my sister & her children. At the death of her husband, Bryan O Neal, I wish a division to take place between my Sister O Neal & her children. I wish my Sister O Neal to have Sophia & increase. Annalizer     O Neal to have Mary. Martha Jane Bennet to have Margaret & increase. Negro men Nace & Isreal I wish to be sold & money arising from sale to be equally divided between my sister’s two children, Annalizier & Martha Jane Bennett O Neal. Money & notes due on hand at death of Bryan O Neal to be equally divided between my sister & her two children. My friend Rodrick Leonard to take charge of my negro woman Peggy & let her act for herself & let her be as free as the nature of the case will admit, 28 Feb. 1828. /s/ Nancy D. G. Irving. Wit: Ann S.
