page 348     Morgan Co., Ga., Superior Court, Sept. Term 1826: To Joseph Robinson, Marcus Hemphill, & Henry Brown. Mary Peoples, widow & relict of Jehu Peoples, late of said co., decd., petitioned the Superior Court for a Writ of Partition to assign to Mary Peoples her dower or 1/3 part of all real estate of decd. in said co., 907 1/4 acres on Sugar Creek waters, adj. lands of Eldridge Butts, Mrs. Billingslea, Joseph Robinson, Marcus Hemphill, James Wade, & John L. Moody. To return to this court, 1 March 1827. /s/ John W. Porter, clerk.
We certify we entered lands of Jehu Peeples, late of said co., decd., & assigned to Mary Peeples, widow & relict of Jehu Peeples, decd., her 1/3 part of 911 3/4 acres, adj. E. Butts, J. Robinson, & others. The 1/3 part is Lot 224 & 1/2 of Lot 223 in 4th Dist. of originally Baldwin now Morgan Co., total 303 3/4 acres, 3 March 1827. /s/ Marcus Hemphill, Joseph Robinson, Henry Brown.
