pages 358-359     Mortgage: Morgan Co., Ga.: 29 March 1826, Gabriel Johnson to Faulkner Heard, Wm. Heard, Wm. Stocks, & Thomas Watts, all of afsd. co., negroes: men named Larry, about 30 years old, Peter about 25, Harry about 22, & Jane a woman about 25, 2 horses, bay & sorrel, 2 mares, gray & chesnut sorrel, & all my household & kitchen furniture. For about $1100 on note due Branch Bank of Darien in Milledgeville payable to Faulkner Heard & by him endorsed & endorsed by Heard, Stocks, & Watts. And, note made payable to Redmon Watts for $300 plus interest. Heard, Heard, Stocks, & Watts oblige themselves to pay Redman Watts the amount of note & interest. Johnson’s security is above property.
