pages 76-77     Power of Attorney: John Crane, Edward Sweet husband of Sylva Sweet, & John Crane father & natural guardian for Freeman Crane & Sarah Crane, John’s son & daughter & minors under age of 24 years, all of Bristol, Cidderon Co., Vermont, appoint General Hastings Warren now of Middleberry, said county & state, our attorney to receive in our names all moneys & property we are entitled to from the estate of Benjamin Crane, late of Powelton, [Hancock Co.], Ga., & formerly from Bristol, decd. of the exors. of the last will & testament of Benjamin or admrs. of estate of Benjamin & settle our names on estate, at Bristol, 18 Oct. 1824. /s/ John Crane as father & guardian of Freeman Crane & Sarah Crane, minors, John Crane, Edward Sweet.
