Advertised in the Georgia Journal for 4 months. 60 days notice of sale. At courthouse door, 1st Tues. in Jan. 1829, exposed to public sale & David Peck was the highest bidder, for $500. 15 April 1830, Lockwood to Peck, both of Morgan Co., in the town of Madison, 1/2 of Lot 42, the 1/2 adj. lot on which Samuel Shields’s Storehouse stands on S.W. side, lot owned by Eleazer Lockwood on N.E. side, in fee simple. /s/ Eleazer Lockwood, admr.
