Bird, both of afsd. co., for $350, in afsd. co., Sugar Creek waters, was granted to Jesse Baker, beg. cor. adj. lands formerly owned by John M. Davenport, down Davenport’s line to cor. adj. lands of the estate of Joel Ball, decd., down to cor. near branch adj. James Lock & Benjamin Brown, down Brown’s line to creek, down meanders of creek to lands of George L. Bird, up Bird’s line to cor. including 26 1/2 acres Johnston bought from William Hardwick, straight on line of Bird’s land called the Morgan place to beg., is 170 acres, in fee simple. /s/ Bartholomew Johnson.
