page 4     Power of Attorney: David Taylor of Clark Co., Alabama, as trustee of my son Walter Taylor, appoint Robert Taylor of Savannah, Ga. & Francis Douglas of Butts Co., Ga., my true & lawful attys., to prosecute to final decree or judgement a suit now pending in a Court of Equity in Morgan Co., Ga. where I am the complainant as trustee of my son Walter, & David J. E. B. Butler, exor. of the last will & testament of Walter Taylor, decd., is respondent.
If attys. should deem advisable, I authorize them to compromise suit with Butler & settle, 22 Aug. 1827. /s/ David Taylor, trustee for Walter Taylor. Clark Co., Ala.: John Hanes, clerk of said co., certify David Taylor signed power of atty., 22 Aug. 1827. Samuel Wilkerson, Judge of Co.
