pages 391-392     Power of Attorney: Morgan Co., Ga.: Williamson Bailey & William Bailey, appoint William Hubbard & Israel Beckwith, both of afsd. co., our true & lawful attorneys, to take possession of all property belonging to us individually & jointly, our crop of corn & cotton now growing on plantation where we now live, all stock of horses, hogs, cows, & all produce on our farm gathered & not gathered of all kind & sell all. Also, all negroes belonging to us our attorneys are not authorized to sell, but to hire out. Also, to sue for debts due us & pay all debts, 6 Sept. 1833. /s/ Williamson Bailey, William Bailey. Wit: F. W. Arnold, J.P. Received from Williamson & William Bailey, 8 negroes we are to manage, notes & accounts between $1000 & $1500, all stock & crops, retaining for our trouble any proceeds after paying off debts against them, 9 Sept. 1833. /s/ Israel Beckwith, William Hubbard.
