| page 584 Marriage Contract: Morgan Co., Ga.: Thomas Brown of afsd. co., for $1, to [blank] trustee of my wife Lucy Brown, for goodwill & affection, give my wife Lucy Brown, all negro slaves she possessed when we married, with all increase of the female slaves born since the marriage & all future increase. Thomas reserves a common interest in all property with Lucy during my lifetime. They are not to be subject to debts of Thomas. Lucy receives slaves in lieu of her dower in land I may die possessed of & she is not entitled to any other part of my estate at my death unless I think proper to leave it to her by will or otherwise, 11 March 1835. /s/ Thomas Brown.
