190. vi. Margaret J. Harper, born 1 June 1849, Obion County, Tennessee, died 5 December 1935, buried Troy Cemetery, Troy, Obion County, married 17 October 1867, Obion County, to Andy C. Anderson, born 21 September 1847, Obion County, Tennessee, died 12 January 1915, buried Troy Cemetery.
A. C. Anderson, farmer and stock dealer, was the son of Reuben Anderson and Mary S. Colter, who were born and married in Kentucky, and came to Obion County, and located on the present site of Tiptonville about 1830. His father died in 1865 and his mother died in 1878. They had eight children; A. C. was the second child. In 1864, A. C. Anderson enlisted in Forrest’s Cavalry and served until the close of the war. In 1887, he and Margaret J. Harper had had ten children and eight were living. In 1887, A. C. Anderson owned a 130 acre farm and a 150 acre farm near Rives.
The Andersons lived in Troy, Obion County, in 1880.
