5. George2Sims (William1), was born circa 1686, died before the 24 December 1745 suit. He was married to Sarah, 3 July 1735. He probably married Sarah Snead.

In 1711 in St. Paul’s Parish, land was processioned for John Sims, John Shelton, John Crenshaw, William Crenshaw, Edward Sims, Matthew Sims, George Brock, Burrass, George Wilkinson, David Crawford, and George Sims.[60]

In 1715 in St. Paul’s Parish, land was processioned for John Shelton, John Sims, John Crenshaw, William Crenshaw, David Crawford, Edward Sims, Matthew Sims, George Brock, Burrass, George Sims, and George Wilkinson.[61]

In 1719 in St. Paul’s Parish, land was processioned for John Shelton, John Sims, William Crenshaw, David Crawford, Edward Sims, Matthew Sims, George Brock, Burras, George Wilkinson, and George Sims.[62]

On 17 August 1725, George Sims received two land grants in Hanover County, Virginia. The first grant was for 200 acres of new land in Hanover County, adjoining lines of George Sims, Alexander Snead, Benjamin Broun, and Susanna Shape, on Little River, 20 shillings. The second grant on the same day, was for 400 acres of new land in Hanover County, in St. Paul’s Parish, on both sides of the Little River, adjoining Alexander Snead, 40 shillings.[63]

On 16 June 1727, John Sims, Matthew Sims, and George Sims received a grant for 3000 acres of new land in Hanover County, on both sides of Locust Creek, adjoining lands of Nicholas Mills, Thomas Hart, Anthony Waddy, Samuel Chamberlaine, John Hill, Alexander Snead, and George Sims, for £15 money.[64]
