In 1926, Fannie B. and Georgiana Daniel sold 80 acres for $1000 an acre to C. W. Snider and J. Fred Smith for Snider Plaza.

In June of 1933, Ada Daniel Robertson and husband, W. B. Robertson, and Madie Daniel Robertson and husband, E. C. Robertson, sold a 6.9317 acre tract, for $20,795, to the town of University Park. The land adjoined Curtis Park and was added to the park.[915] Ada and Madie Robertson were granddaughters of Frank Daniel. Their parents were Thomas Henry Daniel (son of Frank Daniel) and Mattie Jane Beard.

Daniel Street, which borders Southern Methodist University on the north, was named for Francis R. Daniel. The Daniel Cemetery is the only cemetery in University Park. There are no cemeteries in Highland Park. The Daniel Cemetery is one acre and a tenth.
