Dallas Morning News, 5 January 1936: Marshall Perkins, 61, dies, funeral Monday. Marshall Oliver Perkins, 61, of 5308 Terry, resident of Dallas forty-five years, died Saturday at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the East Dallas Baptist Church. Burial will be at Grove Hill Cemetery. Mr. Perkins was an usher at East Dallas Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, his mother, Mrs. Mary F. Perkins; two daughters, Miss Marian Perkins and Mrs. B. Smith; a son, L. W. Perkins; a brother, J. W. Perkins; and two grandchildren, all of Dallas.
