175. William J.7Sims (William B.6, William5, William4, Bruster3, Edward2, William1), was born December 1852, Lafayette County, Mississippi, died 1914, Oxford, Lafayette County. He married circa 1884, Shirley Smith, born August 1862, Mississippi, died 1924, Oxford, Lafayette County, Mississippi. They are buried in Oxford Memorial Cemetery, Oxford, Lafayette County.[1878]

William J. and Shirley Sims and their children lived in Oxford, Lafayette County, Mississippi, in 1900.[1879] In 1910, they lived on College Hill Street in Oxford. He worked in the laundry at the University of Mississippi. Their daughter, Bessie Sims, was a nurse at the hospital, and Jamie Sims was a salesman of general merchandise.[1880] Shirley Sims lived with her son, Jamie Sims, in Lafayette County, in 1920.
