Dallas Morning News, 16 May 1957: Mrs. Lula B. Irwin, 82, a resident of Dallas County all her life, died Wednesday afternoon in a Dallas hospital after an illness of two months. Mrs. Irwin was born in a cabin located on a tract of land now occupied by Southern Methodist University. She was a charter member of the Methodist church in Hutchins. In Dallas, she was a member of the Tyler Street Methodist Church. She lived at 803 Buckalew. Survivors: four daughters, Mrs. Martin Garrison of Fort Worth, Mrs. E. E. Coker and Mrs. C. E. Chaffin, both of Dallas, and Mrs. E. F. Hudson of Los Angeles, California; a son, James Row Irwin of Dallas; three sisters, Mrs. J. J. Lemmon, Mrs. R. A. Simpson, both of Dallas, and Mrs. Sam Renfro of Wilmer; two brothers, Sam Daniel of Hutchins and Alex Daniel of Dallas. Burial: Hutchins Cemetery. [Mrs. Sam Renfro wasn’t her sister. She was her first cousin].

He married Edna Mae Crosley, born 21 July 1882, Texas, died 16 July 1953, Hutchins, Texas, daughter of Marcelus C. Crosley and Mary Simmons. Sam and Edna Daniel are buried in Hutchins Cemetery, Hutchins, Dallas County, Texas.
