Dallas Morning News, 13 June 1933: Park acreage deeded to University Park. Deed to 6.9317-acre addition to Curtis Park in University Park purchased for $20,795. Vendors: Ada Robertson and husband, W. B. Robertson, and Madie Robertson, and husband, E. C. Robertson. Mesdames Robertson are sisters who married brothers. The property adjoins Curtis Park comprising about two and a half acres on the west to the center line of Turtle Creek. It extends along and to the south of Lovers Lane. This gives University Park a park of ten acres in addition to the park near the city hall on which a lake is located.

Sam J. and Mattie Renfro lived in Dallas County, Texas, in 1920. They are buried in Trinity Cemetery, Wilmer, Dallas County, Texas.
Dallas Morning News, 20 February 1951: Newspaper carrier, Sam Renfro, Dies. Sam Renfro, 60, of Wilmer, first motor route carrier of the Dallas Morning News, died February 9. He started the Pleasant Grove-Wilmer route in July 1925. Survived by wife, daughter, three brothers and a sister.
