Son: Dallas Morning News, 9 October 1942: Dallas pilot dead in crash in Britain. First Lieut. Edwin Forrest Patterson, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mulkey Patterson, 908 South Rosemont, and a pilot in the American Army Air Force in the British Isles, died as the result of injuries received in a crash October 2, the War Department notified his parents Thursday. Lieutenant Patterson had lived in Dallas most of his life. He was graduated from Sunset High School in 1938 after which he attended Texas A & M College three years. He left school to enlist in the Air Corp in August 1941. He received his wings February 23 at Mathers Field, California. Survived by his parents and a brother, Frank M. Patterson, a technical sergeant in the Army at Borinquin Field, Puerto Rico.

A. Brown and Mary Sumrall.
John C. and Lois B. Patterson lived in Eastland County, Texas, in 1930. He was the county agent. John’s mother, Lee V. Patterson, lived with them in 1930.
