Edmond L. Dunaway was principal of Pleasant Run Elementary School in Lancaster at the time of his death. He lived at 531 West 8th Street, Lancaster. He taught in the Lancaster school district for seventeen years. He graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio and received his master’s degree from Southern Methodist University. He was an Army Air Corps captain during World War II. He taught in Ferris, Ellis County, from 1936 to 1942. He was survived by his wife, son Eddie Dunaway of Lancaster; daughter, Norma Jane Dunaway of Lancaster; brother, Jack Dunaway of Houma, Louisiana; sister, Mrs. Josephine Haas, San Angelo. He was the football coach at Ferris High School from 1935 to 1941. He was the football coach at Lancaster High School 1948 to 1955.

Liston H. and Alice Dunaway lived in Wink, Winkler County, Texas, in 1930; he owned a grocery store.
